with her mother, Berma, a harpist

Music & Lyrics by Amanda McBroom

Harpist: Catherine White
Recorded 12/9/81 at Soundmixers, NYC
Arranged by Neva Small and Catherine White

In the same year that Amanda McBroom won a Grammy for her song “The Rose,” I appeared with`her in Hoagy & Bix, directed by Gordon Davidson, at The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
Amanda suggested I sing this song, and I fell in love with it the first moment I heard it.

My mother, Berma, was a harpist so, as a gift for her, I decided to make this recording accompanied only by a harp. She died shortly after it was made. I wanted to share it with you, in her memory.
